We are Humanity Insured

Our story

At COP26, Prime Minister Mia Mottley called for the tools of the financial sector to be used to protect the most vulnerable. Her words resonated with Charlie Langdale, then a Howden executive, now CEO of Humanity Insured. Charlie realised that advancements in technology had equipped the insurance industry with the tools to protect those most vulnerable to the climate crisis.

In September 2024, Howden and seven founding partners launched Humanity Insured, an independent charity helping people pay for cutting-edge insurance solutions that keep people out of poverty. Designed by the people they protect, these solutions are tailored to their needs.

From refugees in conflict zones to farmers facing drought, our work is just beginning.
